What is GENESIS
GENESIS is the annual intellectual competition of the International Association of Software Developers. We bring together developers, designers, analysts, and entrepreneurs to find the strongest on real partner challenges. Genesis means “beginning”: the winners' names enter the competition's history and set the bar for those who follow.

Three steps to the start
- 01
Register
Register a team (1–5 people) in the hackathon dashboard and pick a track. Right after registration you get access to the tasks in the dashboard. Your stack is your advantage.
- 02
Solve the challenge
On January 3, 2027 at 11:00 the tasks appear in the dashboard. You have until 18:00 on January 7 to solve your track's challenge and upload the result. Judges score the work against the rules' criteria.
- 03
Write your name into history
Winners stay in Genesis history. And if you meet the criteria, you can become a judge of the next hackathons yourself.
Full participation rules, evaluation criteria, and submission format are in the rules.

Judges
The Genesis Winter 2026 judging panel is being assembled. We will announce the full list of judges no later than January 2, 2027 — before the tasks are released.
Submissions are evaluated by industry practitioners and partner representatives: they look at a solution the way they would look at a real-world task.
Got expertise in development, design, Data & AI, or product? We are looking for judges — write to us.
Ceremony and results
We announce the winners during the live stream on January 12, 2027 at 18:00 UTC+3. All prizes are provided by the partners.
